Mass unauthorised protest

As I was cooking my roast last Sunday with the remembrance day celebrations on in the background, I was wondering whether it could be seen as a mass un-authorised protest (the protest/service was in Whitehall). It seems that it possibly could - I bet they (UK PLC) didn't apply (to OldBill) for a license to protest! Tim Ireland wrote about Wearing a poppy could get you arrested on his blog a couple of weeks back. Permission to remember your dead: denied!
